Bu basımda motorbotlara özel olarak yüksek hız hidrodinamiğiyle ilgili tamamen yeni bir bölüm eklendi ve boyutlandırma kısmı her iki yat tipi de dikkate alınacak şekilde genişletildi. Kitabın ilk basımında sunulandan farklı olarak, kurul başkanı Andrew Blyth’m izniyle yeni yaklaşım burada tanımlanmıştır. Boyutlandırma ile uğraşan ISO\/TC Çalışma Grubu 18 bir son karara varamadılar, fakat başkan Mr Fritz Hartz’m izniyle boyutlandırma ile ilgili güncellenmiş kısımda ana fikirler dahil edilmiştir.
