Despite its proximity to Ankara and its location on a major route, the town center has developed slowly, perhaps allowing its historical fabric to be preserved. However, recent interventions have led this fabric to gradually change and disappear. The old houses, which line its clean, stone-paved streets from two sides and stand like ornaments, are at the forefront of such a change.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAmong the historical and cultural heritage of Sivrihisar and its surroundings, monumental structures have been the subject of some publications, yet little mention has been made of its old houses. It was this oversight that drew my attention and became one of the most important factors in the preparation of this book. The effort to bring these houses, which are decreasing in number every day, into the pages of a book has been the main objective of my research.
