She worked as an architect in architecture, interior architecture and urban planning offices, and in kitchen and office furniture companies. While taking part in the creative and implementation teams of many projects related to architecture and the city, she undertook tasks, sometimes voluntarily and sometimes professionally, for institutions such as METU, Architects Association 1927, Chamber of Architects, Istanbul Association of Freelance Architects, and independent organizations. She completed her Master's program in Architectural History at Middle East Technical University with her thesis titled The Turkish Pavilion at the 1958 Brussels Expo: A Study on Architectural Modernization in Turkey in the 1950s. She co-edited the book Ernst A. Egli: Contributions to Turkey - Local Interpretations, Program in Education, Accounting of Practice, published in the Chamber of Architects Publications, Commemoration Program Series, with Ali Cengizkan and N. Müge Cengizkan. She currently serves as the Secretary Member of the Board of Directors of the Architects Association 1927 and continues her academic work as a faculty member at TOBB University of Economics and Technology, Department of Architecture.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eSelda Bancı completed her PhD in Architectural History at METU in March 2016 with her thesis titled Printed Architectures: Architect Auto-Monographs in Turkey from the 1950s to the 1980s, supervised by Prof. Dr. T. Elvan Altan.
