The Early Republican administration, which set out to make the city the showcase of modern Turkey, envisioned achieving this within a comprehensive framework. In the same years, many European architects would find the opportunity to realize structures in Turkey. Almost all of these architects primarily designed for Ankara. The most important Turkish architects of the period also produced their works here. The most successful examples in Turkey of the era's symbolically significant indicators such as train stations, schools, exhibition halls, parachute towers, and stadiums would also be built here. Turkey's interesting Modernist period encountered a new traditionalist-historicist wind of change in the late 1930s. Ankara houses almost all the important examples of this orientation in Turkey. Anıtkabir is foremost among these. Saracoğlu Neighborhood, A.U. Faculty of Science, and the Opera are other notable products of the period. The 1950s, along with Turkey's political choices, directed its architectural orientation into other channels. The central government reduced its architectural role, which it would gradually diminish over the next fifty years. The largest and most interesting buildings in Turkey were no longer commissioned by the state. The 1980s brought about the complete withdrawal of the public from the construction production sector. The state commissioned few and inexpensive buildings, and no competitions were held. This marked the beginning of an economic depression for Ankara's architectural scene. However, looking at some early indicators from the 2000s, it suggests that Ankara has also adapted to the realities of the market economy. A real \"free\" architectural production sector has emerged in this city, one that no longer sees its architectural goal as limited to providing cheap services to the public. Perhaps Ankara has set out to produce \"civilian\" architecture.\u003c\/span\u003e","brand":"Boyut Yayın Grubu","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":39891512393923,"sku":"9789755217291","price":171.0,"currency_code":"TRY","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0523\/3950\/7395\/products\/0000000147576-1.jpg?v=1622120900","url":"https:\/\/yemkitabevi.com\/en-us\/products\/ankara-1910-2003","provider":"YEM Kitabevi","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
