After serving in the Navy, he began his professional career in 1968. Among his professional works, which he actively continues both in Turkey and abroad, the General Directorate of Highways 17th Regional Directorate Administrative Building, which he designed within the Highways Campus in Zincirlikuyu between 1973-1974, was registered as a \"cultural asset to be preserved\" due to the design innovation and technological level it brought to Turkish architecture. The complex he designed and realized for the Sabah Medya İkitelli Facilities received the \"Chamber of Architects National Architecture Award\" in the Building Category in 1994. In 2010, he was awarded the \"Mimar Sinan Grand Prize\" by the Chamber of Architects for his contributions to Turkish architecture. Konuralp's projects, as well as his professional and social articles and writings, are published in various books and magazines, including Neufert, both in Turkey and abroad. He continues his professional practices and academic activities in Istanbul.
