He describes many cities along the eastern seaboard of the USA from Buffalo to Miami, cities in eastern Canada, and cities on the western coast of the USA through his travels. His observations on cities so far include many cities in Turkey, Northern Cyprus, Europe, Jamaica in the Caribbean, Egypt, Japan, and Peru in the Southern Hemisphere.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSoygeniş's accounts concerning environments in Turkey and abroad are about the cities and structures he has lived in, professionally visited, and observed. It is clear that the personal and societal events and changes experienced up to the present day have shaped these observations as he writes and conveys his observations on architecture and spaces.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eWHO IS PROF. DR. MURAT SOYGENİŞ?\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe was born in Ankara in 1961. He graduated from Kabataş High School in 1978 and from ITU Faculty of Architecture in 1982. He went to the USA with a scholarship from the University of Buffalo, completed his postgraduate studies in Buffalo, and graduated in 1985. After graduating, he worked as an architect in the Baltimore-Washington area. In 1990, he founded his own office, Studio Soygeniş, with his wife Sema Soygeniş in Baltimore. He returned to Istanbul in 1995. He served as a faculty member and dean at the Yıldız Technical University Faculty of Architecture.
