Sultanahmet Tarihi Alanı Araştırması, Sultanahmet bölgesini şehir planlamacısı açısından tarihsel bağlamında sunar. Sultanahmet Historical Area Research presents the Sultanahmet area in its historical context from the point of view of the town-planner. In Semavi Eyice's words, the book ''consists of a historical and archaeological examination of the Sultanahmet area forming the subject of research, in which the author offers a summary presentation of previous investigation and research in the district, offering brief notes regarding Turkish monuments of the predominantly Byzantine and Ottoman periods and summing up their historical importance and value. (...) [The author] suggests the principles on which any new development in this area of Istanbul should be based, laying particular stress on the need for acting in accordance with the principles of town planning. (...) Muslubaş has produced an examination of the richest area in Istanbul as regards ancient and historical buildings and gives a brief introduction to each of the monuments to be found there. In doing so, he has taken great pains to give as full an archaeological description as possible. The bibliography and references at the end of the book are proof of the author's meticulous approach in this regard.'' The book also includes maps of the area prepared by the author.
