2018 National Architecture Awards

The catalog of projects that participated in the 2018 / 16th edition of the National Architecture Exhibition and Awards program, held biennially since 1988, met readers during this year's award ceremony on September 18, 2020. Published bilingually in Turkish and English, the 2018 catalog features all projects that participated in the exhibition. The catalog allows for a detailed examination of the 5 structures, 2 projects, and 2 idea projects that received awards from a total of 123 works, including 54 buildings, 61 projects, and 8 idea projects. It also provides a detailed look at the past period through the evaluation articles of the Jury members. The catalog continues the practice, initiated last year, of grouping works under building types and visualizing more information about projects with infographics. The display aims to reveal the potential of the award program to speak about Turkish architecture, by enabling the reading of information such as the distribution of buildings and projects by cities, and which projects of which function are concentrated in which cities, and much more.
