4th Industrial Revolution and Architecture consists of five articles by architect and urban planner Raşit Gökçeli, examining the situation of architects and architecture under the conditions of the 4th Industrial Revolution, and the transformations in the real estate sector. Under the titles "Industrial Revolution and Architecture / No Crisis, Only Transformation", "Exercises on David Harvey", "While Seeking Solutions to Environmental Problems in Our Cities...", "Real Estate-Based Instruments / A Model Proposal for the Transformation of Real Estate Values into Securities and the Taxation of Secondary Markets for Environmental Protection", and "The Metaphorization of Qualified Labor / Transformation Vectors in the Field of Architecture", the financial transformation of the real estate sector is examined in a sociopolitical, economic, and philosophical context; artificial intelligence, design and architecture, urban rent in capitalist societies, financial constructions in the commodity-money-commodity cycle, techniques for transforming real estate into securities, mortgage practices in capital markets, and the phenomenon of precarization in the neocapitalist order and its reflections on the architectural profession are explored.
