Wooden House Technology

Wood, a material whose use as a structural element dates back to the very first times when the need for shelter arose, maintains its importance today due to reasons such as being a renewable resource, the low amount of energy used in the production of wooden structural elements and structures, and the near-zero amount of carbon dioxide emitted during the production process compared to other building materials. In line with technological developments, efforts are underway to increase the possibilities of using wood.

In this context, this study, which examines the production methods of wood, the characteristics of its load-bearing systems, and current examples where these technologies are used, aimed to re-emphasize the use of wood in housing production.
