Product Description
"But being famous isn't all that important. If I weren't famous, I wouldn't have been shot for being Andy Warhol."
Andy Warhol
Andy Warhol, the "Pop Prince" of art, explains his philosophy through candid and mischievous comments on love, sex, food, beauty, art, fame, work, money, success, New York, the art society, and more. With a style that doesn't shy away from self-deprecation and a playful approach, he presents his thoughts, recorded on his tape recorder, which he calls his "wife," sometimes to any "B" around him, and sometimes directly to his readers/viewers.
From his Polish immigrant mother to his childhood in rural America, from Liz Taylor to the Rolling Stones, from his Factory to the actors in his films, from Andy to B and back again...
"Sharp. Precise. Mr. Warhol's usual astonishing candor. A constant delight and inspiration."
Truman Capote
