Product Description

Ankara's Tile Decorated Architectural Structures, whose historical and artistic content was penned by Dr. Cahit Yılmaz, and whose architectural evaluations and photographs of the structures were prepared by Şükrü Yılmaz, examines in detail the architectural works adorned with Seljuk and Kütahya tiles in the capital city of Ankara.

The authors narrate the development of tile ornamentation art in Ankara from Alacahöyük to the Republican era, from a historical and visual perspective. This work, documenting the remaining tile details from the works of pioneering figures such as Mimar Kemalettin and Vedat Tek, serves as an important resource for both art history and architectural culture.

Among the structures featured in the book are:
Ankara's iconic structures such as Sultan Alaeddin Mosque, Aslanhane (Ahi Şerafettin) Mosque, Hacı Bayrâm-ı Velî Complex, Ankara Palas, Türkiye İş Bankası Building, Gazi Train Station, and Kocatepe Mosque.
