Calculation errors in lighting design, the use of inappropriate equipment, and the disregard for architectural elements lead to increased losses in this field or to inadequate designs. Within the scope of this book, we aim to address these deficiencies by touching upon numerous design examples for electrical engineers, fundamental information necessary for appropriate product selection, and topics related to light sources.

The book also includes practical information thought to be helpful for both electrical engineers and designers. In a period of energy shortage, lighting calculations are of great importance. In our country, lighting losses reach significant levels due to mistakes made in lighting design and the use of inappropriate components. Through the fundamental information provided in our book, we aim to put an end to incorrect designs and faulty product usage. We hope that the tables and templates provided in the appendix will assist readers in the design process. Our book also covers basic information and calculations for the preparation of electrical projects, and fundamental topics related to project drawing are explained in detail. With the example projects provided at the end of the chapter, our aim is for student colleagues to gain insights into practical applications.
