"In the world of Turkish architecture, where it is easy to succumb to creating local imagery under the guise of an identity search, Çinici's architecture is also important for showing us a different dimension of locality. While many designers set out with the ambition of finding the essence of tradition or history but end up pursuing simple pseudo-local images, Çinici, who provides almost no national or historical references, appears much more "ours." What makes it ours is not the visual illusions produced, but the processes that create them. In this respect, the architect gains a cultural meaning for Turkey beyond the aesthetic quality of their work."
