This study aims to convey the times of a city, at least on the threshold of modern ages, before the misfortunes experienced between 1919-1922, through engravings, photographs, and postcards. All of the material has accumulated over a long period due to the difficulties in obtaining them, and although there is a possibility that other examples may emerge in the future, they have been published as soon as possible rather than waiting until then. The glass negatives in the collection of the German Archaeological Institute/DAI in Istanbul constitute a unique cluster for Aydın. The visual material included and not included in the book "Aydın on Fertile Lands" will provide a different access to those who want to take a quick look at the visual history of the city through this book.
