The book "Architecture as a Geographical Issue" examines how Nevzat Sayın comprehends the geography upon which he grounds himself and his architectural thought along two axes. The first axis focuses on the meaning of understanding the characteristics of the places he has inhabited at certain stages, defining and questioning the obstacles to such understanding, particularly within the education system. It meticulously dwells on the scope and quality of the reflections of what he learned from geography on his architectural thought and practices. In addition to his critique of the existing education system in general, and architectural education in particular, he also discusses what and how "another architectural education" could be, providing examples. The Yahşibey Design Workshops, which have held a special place within Sayın's summer work with architecture students since 2000, form the second axis of the book.
