Who is Architect GÜLİZ FİŞ?
Born in Samsun in 1981, Güliz Fiş completed her high school education at Samsun Anatolian High School. Her first venture was jewelry design and sales during her high school years. She chose the construction sector as her career goal and completed her undergraduate studies in the Department of Architecture at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (MSGSÜ). During her undergraduate education, she worked in the Real Estate Sales-Marketing and Post-Sales Architectural Services department for Aşçıoğlu İnşaat's Selenium projects. After graduating, she began her master's education at MSGSÜ, later transferring to Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ), where she completed her master's in the same department, Project and Construction Management. Her master's thesis was titled "Innovation in the Construction Sector."
During her master's studies, she made her second venture by working as a freelance architect on restoration and renovation projects. She gained her first experience in site work, the heart of construction, as a site and design architect at Akaretler Residences and W-Hotel. Following these experiences, after working for nearly 15 years in various positions in the procurement departments of three Turkish contracting firms listed in ENR Top 500 Contractors (Dia Holding, Polimeks İnşaat, Çalık Holding/Gap İnşaat), she founded inSuppliers in 2021 as a "Women Solopreneur," which she describes as the "professional network of the construction sector." She is currently continuing her second undergraduate program in the Department of Management Information Systems at Istanbul University. Güliz Fiş is a member of the Women Committee of the Association of Purchasing Professionals and Managers (TÜSAYDER) and the Head of the Alumni Business Network Committee of the Samsun Kolejliler Istanbul Alumni Association.
