If judged by a deceptive standard of wealth, a Green future might seem “poorer” than the present. But in reality, we would have a higher standard of living; better nutrition, healthier bodies, rewarding work, good companionship, cleaner air, more self-sufficiency, communities that support rather than hinder, and a safer world to live in. Thus, the distinction between wealth and well-being will become clear.
