On Judging Works of Visual Art

This work, which was the first step taken by Konrad Fiedler, a unique scholar and art patron of the 19th century, towards developing an independent theory of figurative art, will culminate in the understanding of "pure visuality." Visual perception would be liberated from thought and language, and art could be studied with its own unique tools.
