Who could have known beforehand the loneliness in which people live today? A loneliness reconfirmed daily by a bodiless and fake network of images related to the world. But this fakeness of images is not a mistake. If pursuing profit is seen as the only way to humanity's salvation, if generating income becomes the absolute priority, then what truly exists must be discredited, ignored, and suppressed. Painting today is an act of resistance that responds to a widespread need and can encourage hope.
