Henri De Toulouse-Lautrec-Mini Art Series

Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, born into an aristocratic family, showed an extraordinary and precocious talent for drawing in the caricatures he made during his school years. But at that time, it was not common for aristocratic families to produce painters, and Henri was expected to continue the family tradition and choose a military career. However, his poor health, and the fact that his bones, broken consecutively in 1878 and 1879, never fully healed, severely limited young Henri's freedom; this led his mother to encourage her son's artistic talent.
