Ergonomics for Interior Architecture Students

The ergonomics course was taught for a long time (including my student years) by memorizing fragmented measurements. Its exams also included drawings of the maneuvering clearance distances of a wheelchair. However,
my view is that knowing by heart that a kitchen counter is 60cm won't make you a good designer. Furthermore, with millions of ways to cook and eat in the world (see my vernacular architecture studies), how can we talk about a standard counter?!

My main motivations for including this textbook are; to propose a contemporary approach to teaching ergonomics, to discuss concepts rather than measurements, and to provide a general framework for them. The content itself consists of ergonomics lecture notes presented every three years.
