Product Description
"Idrak ve İnşa" (Perception and Construction) is a work that primarily focuses on the thoughts and works of Turgut Cansever, a great master of our architecture. Düzenli, who attentively listens to the architect's words and observes his constructions, presents a "Turgut Cansever Book" to the reader, featuring visuals for forty-seven of Cansever's projects, along with project description tables and comparative analysis tables that examine the works from different perspectives.
Düzenli defines Ahmet Davutoğlu’s conceptualizations of belonging and civilizational self-perception as the overarching theoretical framework for his research, which stems from the social sciences. He also positions the concept of architectural autonomy as one of the central elements of his work.
In this work, Düzenli also addresses modern issues in Turkish architecture such as belonging, identity, and originality, drawing from the interaction and tension between architecture as a scientific research discipline and architecture as a field of practice.
“We build according to our level of perception.”
