Project Management in the Construction Sector

Istanbul Kültür University Publications has released a book about the construction industry, which has been considered one of the cornerstones of development and growth in Turkey. The book titled Project Management in the Construction Sector, co-authored by Selçuk Alten, Fahriye Hazer Sancar, and Leyla Özhan, was released in January 2020.

The book covers in detail all stages related to growth in the process from the design of a production to be built to its implementation, including quality, time and cost management in design management, customer relations, risk management, and procurement from the possible to the actual. In addition, negative situations can also provide opportunities for case studies. Furthermore, the book addresses how a unique roadmap for project management can be drawn for Turkey and what the responsibilities of public institutions, participants, universities, and professional organizations are.

The authors, who studied at the METU Department of Architecture in 1968, share their experiences in the architecture and construction sectors in Turkey from that day to this with their perspectives and an illuminating style, while also providing a brief history of the development of the construction sector in Turkey.
