Square Circle Triangle

Italian design genius Bruno Munari first began publishing his studies on shapes in the early 1960s: Circle, Square, and – a decade later – Triangle. Drawing on examples from Ancient Greece and Egypt, as well as the works of Buckminster Fuller, Le Corbusier, and Alvar Aalto, Munari attributes specific qualities to these three shapes: The circle is concerned with the divine, the square signifies security and enclosure, and the triangle provides an important unifying form for designers.

Munari, one of the most important designers of the twentieth century, made various contributions to painting, sculpture, design, and photography, in addition to his seventy-year academic career. After the Second World War, Munari focused on book design, creating children's books described as simple and fun.
 
This single-volume trilogy, which has long captivated Munari's fans in the world of graphic design and art, and will introduce his creative theories to new followers, is being published in Turkish for the first time.
