Product Description

When Urban Law is mentioned, urban development practices or environmental issues usually come to mind. However, beyond these topics, Urban Law encompasses all the rules related to spaces defined as cities, consisting of natural and artificial environmental structures, and to the people living in these spaces.

Urban Law, which protects the personal rights of urban dwellers, also imposes certain responsibilities on them in this regard. It is of great importance for urban dwellers to integrate with the city, to see themselves as part of the city's sections and culture, and to embrace their inherent rights with the awareness that the concepts of rights and teaching must be perceived together.

Urban Law, which enables city administrations to create sustainable, high-quality outdoor spaces, to issue provisions regarding environmental values, and to prioritize public services and community benefits over individual businesses, also covers the duties assigned to the legislative, executive, and judicial branches so that city administrations can be transparent, accountable, effective, and efficient service providers that benefit from local autonomy.

The authors of Urban Law, addressing the city from the perspectives of administration and urban dwellers, attempt to identify the obstacles to an ideal situation where urban progress is guaranteed, city administration is bound by the principle of the supremacy of its dimensions, and urban dwellers actively embrace their city as engaged citizens rather than passive ones; they then propose solutions for each of these problems.
