The Cultural Heritage of Kırıkkale's Keskin District

Studies on Traditional Architectural Heritage contribute to the preservation and perpetuation of these values by addressing a region's architectural character, local materials, written and oral culture, and many other unique elements. The fact that the question of how to sustain traditional architectural heritage, which is under threat in Turkey as in the rest of the world, is a fundamental problem for all disciplines specializing in conservation, laid the groundwork for this book.

In "Kırıkkale - Keskin's Cultural Heritage: A Documentation and Conservation Study in Central Anatolia," the aim was to document the cultural assets in Keskin, whose history dates back to ancient times, develop conservation proposals, and contribute to Keskin's promotion by creating a tourist route that would reveal the region's tourism potential alongside these studies.

When the concept of tourism is addressed together with conservation projects and the sustainability of the historical environment is ensured, the cultural heritage of Keskin, located in the heart of Central Anatolia, will be preserved and passed on to future generations.
