M. Emin Onat's Buildings Guide

The M. Emin Onat Buildings Guide is a study that includes the architect's completed and still existing works. In accordance with guide preparation rules, demolished or entirely altered buildings have been excluded. Our list includes İstanbul and Ankara, where the majority of Onat's works are located, as well as Bursa and Zonguldak, and the very important Village Institute settlements in Kırklareli and Eskişehir.

As is always the case with guide preparations, the distribution of the works caused significant challenges in route planning and map marking. Therefore, in addition to city maps that provide an understanding at an urban scale, address/maps linked to the buildings were created. The buildings were numbered and prepared according to route-following rules.

The Guide, aiming to facilitate seeing and learning, was supported by informative texts designed to encourage reflection.
