Product Description

It has been considered that some curious readers, especially students, if they come across model photos they like very much from other books, magazines, etc., can enlarge or reduce colored photocopies of them as they wish and paste them into the empty spaces in their own books, thereby increasing their value in terms of examples.
In this book, you will also find a third type of model photos. These are not uncolored and simple but meticulously and carefully made student models. Nor are they professionally made models that we can call perfect. But we can place them somewhere in between. First, they were made with very simple hand tools. The highest possible quality of material was used. They were made in a corner of a small room where people working on design, drawing, and calculations were also present, meaning among other working people, without disturbing them, in an environment very different from the conditions of the single and double-person model-making office described as an example in the book. Still, they can be considered successful.
These models are some of those made by me over 33 years.
Almost all of them were always made from the same soft balsa wood. They also present a difference with their material and construction style. In addition, they have a very important feature:
In most of them, the base, but only the base, is colored, unlike other models. This is presented as an innovation, even a very important innovation. The reasons for this are explained several times in the text in a way that draws attention.
In almost all model pictures included in the book, only the model making technique and material were considered, and very brief information was given about them. Furthermore, topics such as function, construction, etc., which are among the main parts of architecture, were not touched upon at all.
