The ABC of Architecture discusses architecture not as a grand narrative of "Architecture," but through singularities. The aim of this book is not to position architecture at a "high" point, far from our daily lives and daily uses, but to remind us that it exists precisely within our daily lives, through our daily practices.

In other words, this book is not an introductory book for readers who have no idea about architecture. On the contrary, it operates from the view that every reader actually has an idea about architecture. Just as the Italian philosopher Antonio Gramsci said that every individual is an intellectual (because they have a mind), we are all users and consumers of architecture, and therefore also its (re)producers and critics.
