Aesthetic Thought in Architecture

The World Congress of Aesthetics organized by the Sanart Association of Aesthetics and Visual Culture in 2007 brought together aestheticians, philosophers, artists, and architects from 42 countries. Many papers approaching architecture from an "aesthetic" perspective were presented at the congress. This book makes a significant contribution to the discipline of architecture by publishing a special selection of these papers in Turkish. Although the articles in the book do not cover all areas, they demonstrate how architecture can be approached from many different perspectives. The book, which includes sections titled "Contemporary World Architecture and Aesthetics", "Architecture and Aesthetics in Turkey", "Aesthetic Thought Through Monographs", "Architectural History", "Architecture and the City", and "Interiors and Aesthetics", also offers reading recommendations related to the topics covered.
