Product Description

How much landscape architecture knowledge is required for the education of architects and urban planners? It is observed that architecture, urban and regional planning curricula either include no or very few courses on landscape architecture and landscape design programs. This limits the competence of architects and urban planners in understanding the complex relationships between buildings and their sites, landscapes, and the environment.

Courses with a focus on landscape design are crucial for the education of architects and urban planners. To investigate natural and cultural texture, to examine design theories and structural and vegetative design principles at different scales, to approach the subject from different angles to create a landscape design project, to effectively analyze and synthesize existing natural, perceptual, social, and cultural data, and to ensure the inclusion of different professional disciplines to facilitate interdisciplinary work. It is necessary to establish the infrastructure to include courses on Landscape Architecture and Landscape Design programs in the Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning curricula during the education process.

The book "Landscape Design in Architecture", prepared with the support and contributions of our esteemed lecturers, will provide architecture students with the ability to use landscape design principles, establish landscape-space organization and the relationship between landscape design and architectural design, examine factors affecting landscape design, and prepare a small-scale landscape project.
