Preservation/Architecture is a history of preservation in Turkey. It examines the preservation policies and ideologies related to the architectural use of Istanbul, starting from the Tanzimat era until the end of the Menderes period. In this section, Nur Artun sheds light on the cult of "ruin" that has been influential from the Renaissance to totalitarian regimes since the 20th century.
