The Impossible Museum

The Impossible Museum compilation compares both the different historical periods and different types of museology. It is interested in what museums display. It examines the regimes of knowledge and power they represent and equip. From Renaissance museums to contemporary museums, through different examples, it attempts to deconstruct the symbolic universe and language that museums construct. It investigates how this language has transformed over time.

It questions the communicative power of museums. Ultimately, it hopes to shed light on how this power affects us today, when opening a museum has reached a stage of madness.
