Göbeklitepe has been extensively examined from numerous different specialist perspectives to date. However, significant work has not been presented on evaluating the architectural formation of this cult structure complex. Most existing studies were prepared by non-architects and treated the structures as just another type of archaeological find. This present study, on the other hand, proposes to focus on the architecture of Göbeklitepe. In this context, it offers an analysis of the Neolithic period—the period when these structures were produced, used, and abandoned—with a focus on agriculture, ceramics, and architecture. Building on this foundation, it evaluates Göbeklitepe's architecture from the perspectives of structure, function, and ornamentation. In doing so, it endeavors to understand not only concrete architectural elements like building materials and dimensions but also abstract concepts such as design language and complex functions.
