In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Chamber of Architects and the 38th working period of the Chamber of Architects Istanbul Metropolitan Branch, extensive interviews were conducted with architects who participated, contributed, and left their mark during various periods of the Chamber's 50-year history. These interviews were then added to the Chamber's archives under the title "Oral History Studies." These ongoing studies aim not only to shed light on past architectural education and understanding but also to create a rich archive of historical significance, preserving the architects' memories of their professional practice environment, social, and private lives in their own voices for future generations. The first four books in the "From the Chamber's History/Portraits" publication series, compiled from the materials gathered so far, were written based on the memoirs of Niyazi Duranay, Maruf Önal, Orhan Şahinler, and Doğan Hasol. The books, which also include numerous visual materials from various periods of the Chamber's history, serve as references not only for the Chamber's history but also for the history of architectural culture.
