On the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Chamber of Architects and during the 38th working period of the Istanbul Metropolitan Branch of the Chamber of Architects, extensive interviews were conducted with architects who had been involved, contributed, and left their mark in various periods of the Chamber's 50-year history. These interviews were added to the Chamber's archive under the title "Oral History Studies." These ongoing studies aim to shed light not only on the architectural education and understanding of the past but also to create a rich archive of historical significance where architects' memories of their professional practice environment and their social and private lives are conveyed to the future in their own voices. The first four books of the publication series titled "From the Chamber's History/Portraits," compiled from the materials gathered so far, were written based on the memoirs of Niyazi Duranay, Maruf Önal, Orhan Şahinler, and Doğan Hasol. These books, which also contain numerous visual materials from various periods of the Chamber's history, serve as references not only to the Chamber's history but also to the history of architectural culture.
