ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Prof. Dr. Günay Ozmen: Born in Istanbul in 1934. After completing his secondary education at Kabataş High School, he graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Civil Engineering in 1956. In the same year, he joined the ITU Civil Engineering Faculty, Structural Mechanics Department as an assistant, became a Doctor in 1963, an Associate Professor in 1968, and a Professor in 1973. Between 1964 and 1965, he conducted scientific research in Norway and England. In addition to his educational and research activities at the university, he also served in administrative roles such as Director of the Information Processing Center and Vice-Dean, and provided consultancy to various engineering organizations. In 1984, he retired from his faculty position at his own request. After retirement, he continued to teach courses related to "Computer Applications" in the Civil Engineering and Architecture postgraduate programs of the ITU Institute of Science and Technology. He is currently carrying out several research projects at the ITU Faculty of Civil Engineering, in addition to providing consultancy services to various organizations. gunayozmen@hotmail.com Prof. Dr. Engin Orakdöğen: Born in Lüleburgaz in 1963. After completing his primary and secondary education at Gümüşpaşa Primary School and Istanbul 50. Yıl Avcılar Construction High School respectively, he entered the Civil Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Civil Engineering in 1979. Engin Orakdöğen, who graduated in 1983, was admitted to a master's program at the Institute of Science and Technology in the same year and started working as a Research Assistant in the Structural Mechanics Working Group of the Department of Structure in 1985. Having completed his master's degree in 1986, his doctorate in 1994, becoming an Associate Professor in 2000, and a Professor in 2010, Engin Orakdöğen is still working as a faculty member at the same faculty. orak©itu.edu.tr Prof. Dr. Kutlu Darılmaz: Born in Fethiye in 1971. He completed his secondary education at Izmir Bornova Anatolian High School, and his undergraduate, master's, and doctoral studies in the Civil Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Civil Engineering.
