A Bibliography of Ottoman Architecture

As a result of its long reign, the Ottoman Empire adorned the lands we live in and the surrounding geography with its architectural works. These architectural works can be seen today in countries as far apart as Tunisia, Egypt, Syria, Bulgaria, and Greece. The fact that they built charitable foundations, viewing the places they went as their own land, with an approach far from colonialism, undoubtedly shows the power of the Ottomans.

After determining the topic in a scientific study, the next step is to identify the sources related to the topic. Scanning publications such as books, theses, articles, encyclopedia entries, and papers is quite time-consuming. One of the reasons for this is the scarcity of bibliographic publications in our country. This book was created to benefit researchers who will prepare books, theses, articles, and papers on the aforementioned subject and to save them time, by providing the bibliographic information of Master's and Doctoral theses completed in different disciplines such as Art History, Architectural History, History, Restoration, Islamic History, and Arts related to Ottoman Architecture, from the establishment of YÖK (Council of Higher Education) to the present day.
