Product Description
“Plug – an architecture office's productions through words” has been published by b.kitap. The book, which traces the design journey of Plug, founded by Buşra Al, through texts, diagrams, and words, features contributions from Sait Ali Köknar, Yeşim Özgen Kösten, Nevzat Sayın, and Ezgi Tuncer. No matter what the behavior of the design, it is a method of operations to better learn the essence of the details until the components and structures of the design are broken down into units as small as they can be. The second stage of this effort is to study these units down to the ground where we are convinced that they can no longer be broken down, and then to reassemble these parts to work in a meaningful integration…
The book aims to transform the comprehensive and practical production of Plug, which has been continuing its architecture and design practice since 2014, in its first 6 years into a system through frequently used words, and the narrative is divided into 4 main word records: “Inter-scales”, “articulation”, “void”, “together”. In this extension of the motion document, the book, which turns into a dictionary with sub-words added to them from within the texts and diagrams, aims to make Plug's production systematic readable and to create an archiving system basis that will ensure continuity. The texts, where the office's ways of thinking and doing are conveyed by Buşra Al, are followed by the evaluations of Sait Ali Köknar, Yeşim Özgen Kösten, Nevzat Sayın, and Ezgi Tuncer based on their observations during this period. The design and application of the book are signed by Tolgahan Akbulut.
