Projects Structures 3: Educational Buildings

The third book in the Projects/Buildings series, Educational Buildings, features school (kindergarten, primary, secondary, university), library, special education, and research center projects by important architects from Turkey and around the world. The book showcases 30 culturally-oriented building projects carried out in the last few years by 28 architects/architectural groups in 22 different locations worldwide, including Turkey.

The projects published in the book do not, of course, claim to be the best works of their authors. Educational Buildings brings together educational building designs where children and young people can feel free, live with joy, and benefit from the latest technology and educational opportunities.

The projects, which are successful examples in terms of building typology, use of modern and traditional building materials, modern construction techniques, adaptation to topography, architectural and urban fabric, repurposing, etc., are presented with specially taken color photographs, site and floor plans, sections, elevations, and axonometric drawings, as well as descriptive texts explaining the projects.

The Educational Buildings book is a reference book for architects, interior designers, urban planners, urban designers, landscape architects, and civil engineers, as well as a valuable resource for all architecture, interior architecture, and design students to examine these special projects selected from Turkey and around the world and utilize them in their own design work.
