This work describes the design criteria for sprinkler and drip irrigation systems to be implemented in recreational areas. For this purpose, basic irrigation knowledge such as soil-plant-water relations, irrigation water quality, plant water consumption, and irrigation water requirements were first explained with examples and software packages, and then the elements of sprinkler and drip irrigation systems to be applied in landscape areas were introduced. In addition, all the explanations were applied in three irrigation projects solved from beginning to end, offering example project solutions that will be very beneficial to the reader.
The book has been prepared in a simple language, containing straightforward information, and is designed in such a way that all engineers and technicians working in the field will not need to look for other resources in practice.
It is our hope and wish that with the aforementioned features of this work, it will benefit agricultural faculties, civil engineering faculties, landscape architecture and vocational school students who are educated in irrigation, as well as all engineers and technicians working in the field.
