Product Description

Due to the language and nature of art, art books are often perceived as being outside of social life, leading societies to maintain a distance from art. The book Art-Society-Life was prepared with the intention of narrowing this distance and with the awareness that the Mesopotamian geography, where civilization first emerged, imposes a duty on its contemporary inhabitants in this regard, and that becoming a civilized person/society is possible through the helix of philosophy, science, and art. The book discusses what art is and its principles, while emphasizing its contributions and benefits to the exaltation of social life. Historical stages, starting from Cave Art up to the present day, have been evaluated; the philosophical, scientific, and artistic experiences of societies that developed through centuries of effort have been summarized, and an easy-to-read style has been preferred with the aim of reaching a broad readership. Undoubtedly, more comprehensive readings on art, science, and philosophy are possible. The aim here is to draw attention to the impact of this helix on social life and to emphasize the importance of shaping our thoughts and actions, both as individuals/society and as a government, in this direction, and forming our demands and contributions in this context. The book Art-Society-Life was published with the contributions of KTMMOB.
