Cities directly or indirectly affect a large part of the world's population by attracting the surrounding population with their central locations, diverse goods and services, and dense populations. For this reason, cities are inherently complex and rapidly changing. Therefore, planning cities is difficult, and their problems are numerous and diverse. Globalization, which has increasingly gained influence since the 1990s, has made this structure of cities even more complex.

Solving the problems of cities and ensuring healthy urban development is only possible by analyzing cities in a multi-faceted way. This study aims to update the subject of city geography, which focuses on cities with a long history and rapid change, and to contribute to the multi-faceted analysis of cities.
