Environmental Awareness for Sustainable Cities

As stated in Article 21 of Section IV of the Millennium Declaration, "We must spare no effort to free all humanity, especially our children and grandchildren, from the threat of living on a planet irredeemably spoiled by human activities, and whose resources will no longer be sufficient to meet their needs."

The first and most crucial step in this endeavor is to replace the human-centered approach with an environment-oriented approach in all activities concerning the environment. We must remember that valuing the environment actually means valuing humanity, and preserving the essence of the environment means preserving urban liveability.
