Unexpected Ecology

This compilation, which seeks alternative solutions that can be developed within the discipline of architecture for ecological struggles, shakes the foundations upon which ecological, green, and sustainable structures are built, questioning the roles architecture can assume in both urban and rural settings. It examines the ecological and economic dimensions of urban transformation, in other words, demolition and reconstruction. It investigates the potentials the countryside holds for building a healthy future without being separated from all of these. It demonstrates how effective small interventions can be through experiences and draws attention to steps that can be taken across a wide spectrum, from architectural education to daily life.
