Introduction to Turkish Islamic Arts
Turkish Art, which embodies the manifestations of a refined artistic taste, began to form with the process of the Turks becoming a nation and has achieved its rightful place, passing through all historical stages up to the present day. It has been influenced by all the beliefs and political contacts seen in pre-Islamic Turkish history and continued its development significantly with the adoption of Islam.
This work on Turkish Islamic arts has been produced through the dedicated efforts of a group of my colleagues who are working in this field.
In this study, "Pre-Islamic Turkish Art" was written by Lecturer Ahmet Yavuzyılmaz and Assistant Professor Dr. Muzaffer Yılmaz, "Karakhanid and Ghaznavid Art" by Lecturer Osman Öztürk, "Great Seljuk Art" by Ali Tekin, "Anatolian Seljuk Art" by Lecturer Kazım Akdağ, "Art of the Beyliks Period" by Research Assistant Ahmet Gümüştop, "Art of the Ottoman Beylik Period" by Lecturer Ayşe Zehra Sayın, "Art of the Ottoman Classical Period" by Eshabil Yıldız, "Art of Masjid an-Nabawi and the Umayyad Period" by Associate Professor Dr. Mustafa Yıldırım, "Art of the Abbasid Period" by Eyup Utlu, and "Traditional Arts" by
