Product Description

Building Information | Lecture Notes are a supplementary book prepared based on lectures, notes and drawings on the board, and practical work in Building courses where theoretical and practical knowledge are handled together.
Knowing the difficulties architecture students encounter while trying to access the information they need for Building courses in comprehensive publications of similar quality prepared on this subject, this book includes updated period topics, their contents, and the knowledge and experiences gained over the years. It contains texts and drawings examined according to their headings and the sequence followed in a building's construction process, with blank pages left for notes and new information when needed.
It has been prepared as a concept book that students can use, especially in building courses, with its approach to topics, simple narrative language, freehand drawings, covering only period topics, page count, affordable price, and portability.
I would like to thank my wife, Sema Ak, for her unwavering support throughout my work, my friend Prof. Dr. Yavuz Koşaner for encouraging me to return to university life and write and publish this book, and my colleagues and students, who are my source of energy and motivation.
Nüshet AK, M. Arch. DGSA

Nüshet AK (M. Arch., DGSA) is a distinguished professional who has dedicated her life to her profession, and I am always proud to have been her classmate. This work, produced as a result of over forty years of endeavor, accumulated knowledge, and experience, including academic studies in the Department of Building Science, architecture practice, and education and teaching, starting from her student years at the Academy, is one of the rare works where theory and practice intersect.
In this study, classical building doctrine and fundamental professional topics have been explained in a unique and simple manner, especially for architecture students and professionals. I hope that this publication, which contains not only the most fundamental topics required for architectural education but also original drawings requiring special talent and skill, will be appreciated by its readers.
I wholeheartedly congratulate Nüshet Ak, my valuable colleague, classmate, and co-worker, with whom I have always been proud to work, for this endeavor.
