Environment and Energy in Structures

This book describes the relationship between building design and the natural environment. In this context, the building-environment relationship is discussed, the environmental impacts of construction are examined, and the design principles of sustainable buildings are determined. Thus, "Energy-efficient building design" is explained within the scope of building design and environmental interaction. Within this framework, sample applications were carried out using computer support. Information on national and international organizations working on sustainable environment and energy efficiency is provided.

4. Understanding building and environmental modeling through sample applications developed using computer support.
